45% and 60% Gear Reductions Destroy Mud It seems like we see more Defenders in the mud every time we go out—it’s a great side-by-side for it. But with 8” portals and a 45 to 60% gear reduction, it becomes the ultimate mud UTV. You’ll have room for up to a 44” tire and all that torque means you can push through anything, if the mud’s even deep enough to reach your skid plate.

A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain Portals put the gear reduction right in the hub. That matters because putting it after your drivetrain components will make them last longer. GDP reduces the stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission even if you’re rolling on huge tires.

The Strongest Portal Backing Plates You Can Get How do we make the strongest backing plates on the planet? We start with an advanced steel alloy that’s even stronger pound-for-pound than chromoly. Then, we make it 5/16 inches thick, and, finally, we hand-weld gussets and pivot blocks to it. We went all out on strength because if you’re backing plate doesn’t hold up, you’re done playing. So keep playing with GDP. Advanced Gaskets and Seals Whether you go with cast or billet, both housings use:
  • Advanced Thermo-Tork® gaskets to keep oil in and water out. They have excellent oil resistance and a lower deterioration rate than Kevlar gaskets.
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal.
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout. You can forget about oil leaks—nothing’s getting in or out, ever.

Bearings That Rock All the strongest housings, gears, plates, and hardware would mean nothing if we had just average bearings. But, like everything else, we opted to make them as good as possible. With a double-angular contact bearing on the output shaft that can take hit after hit, you can rest easy knowing that even GDP’s bearings are built for battle.

Universal Hubs and Slotted Rotors Our precision-ground, stainless steel slotted rotors stay cool to give you the braking power you need when you need it. They come with 4/156, 4/137, 4/115, and 4/110 bolt patterns and lugs so you can use wheels from just about any side-by-side. We invented the tapered output shaft that our hubs attach to, which provides a more secure lock that won’t wobble or wear over time.

Frame Stiffener Required These 8” portals are big beefy and powerful. In fact, they give you such a big lift that your Can-Am Defender needs a frame stiffener to keep from bending its chassis. We’ve put it through its paces and bent plenty of frames. Trust us and get a frame stiffener.

Max tire sizes are measured at full compression and full turn. The given tires sizes are the largest we fit without rubbing. With minor trimming or a small amount of rub, larger tire sizes can be used.

Shipping
Shipping to US with verified payment & confirmed address. Domestic shipments are a mix of services from UPS, USPS, and FedEx. All packages may require a signature.

Delivery
Most of our products ship within 1 Business Day - Occasionally, we are out of stock on an item and will sometimes use a drop ship from one of our suppliers. Drop ships from a handful of suppliers can add up to 5 days processing time.

Refunds & Returns
PLEASE CALL US FIRST for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) #.

All returns made to Revolution Off-Road, LLC must be in the original box with all parts included in new condition.
All returns must be sent with a copy of the original receipt, explanation of the problem and an RMA #.
All returns for must be received by Revolution Off-Road, LLC within 15 days of the product being received by the customer. (determined by UPS tracking #)
Customer is 100% responsible for ALL shipping costs on returned items. Thus, if you return an item and did not originally pay shipping costs, the original shipping cost incurred by us will be deducted from your refund.

Orders canceled by the customer will be subject to a 10% cancelation fee. 

Any shipping costs paid by customer on original order, including ground shipping or expedited shipping will not be refunded including in the event of a return. 


Credit will be issued after the product and its contents are inspected and found to be in brand new condition as shipped to the buyer.
All returns will be subject to a 20% - 30% restocking fee, depending on the manufacturer.
Shipments refused by you (the Customer) and returned back to Revolution Off-Road will carry an automatic 20% re-stocking fee deducted from the total credit owed.

Credit will not be issued in the following situations:
Product has been installed and or used. Product has been damaged from an attempt to install and/or use.
Product is shipped back without original box, manual and/or parts.
Seal on electrical parts is broken, or it is evident that electrical part has been installed to vehicle.
Product serial number does not match what was originally shipped to buyer.-Product is deemed not re-sellable due to customer's actions.
Electrical components after they have been installed.

Product Warranties
Revolution Off-Road, LLC honors all manufacturer warranties. Any product that carries a manufacturer warranty must be warrantied through its respective manufacturer. Installed components which have failed must be removed and shipped back to its manufacturer for inspection before replacement. Revolution Off-Road, LLC is not responsible for shipping products to manufacturers for inspection or the return shipping to the end user. Labor time is not paid by Revolution Off-Road, LLC.

Damaged Products
If a products arrived damaged you must contact Revolution Off-Road, LLC WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS. Do not install the product as the manufacturer will handle shipping a replacement item. If you install the product then it will void any shipping claim as the product will need to be reviewed by sending pictures of any damage. Once again review your product before attempting to install it, if any damage is found, do not install.

Cores
There is a 30 day turnaround policy on cores from the time it was delivered.
